Our Company
UtilityINFO is uniquely positioned to focus on data management, analysis and presentation of underground utility information. UtilityINFO aim at improving and transforming the current manual surveying and engineering workflow through sensible use of information technology and viable business model to deliver quick, flexible and simple services to its customers.
We works closely with the utility undertakers, consultants and contractors in a number of utility survey and data acquisition contracts for the HKSAR Government Departments such as Architectural Services Department (ASD), Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), Drainage Services Department (DSD), Housing Authority (HKHA), Water Supplies Department (WSD) etc. and non-Government customers such as MTR Corporation Limited and the University of Hong Kong etc. and some famous construction company like Gammon Construction Limited, Leighton Constructors (Asia) Ltd., Hsing Chong – Yau Lee Joint Venture, Bachy Soletanche Group Limited, Dragaes – Maeda – BSG Joint Venture etc. Up to present moment, our survey projects cover data management works and design works for more than 3,000 slopes and 1,000,000 sq.m of flat land in urban areas. Moreover, UtilityINFO (Macau) Ltd., was established in 2007 and works closely with CEM-Macau.
Our Professional Team
Founded in 2002, our professional team comprise of members from different professional disciplines including surveying, data and engineering management, GIS, information technology and so on so that we can become a one-stop professional services provider on all mattetrs relating to utility data and information.
Our Strength
In recognition of data as a very important company asset, UtilityINFO has invested in the development of the Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) for the usage of data control, analysis, conversion, migration of various types of data into the new database based on GIS and database technologies. Data types being converted include AutoCAD, Microstation, Word, STC25, Automapper, Text etc. IDMS provides the functionality of a data and document management system, which forms the core of UTHK's knowledge repository. It provides indices for rapid data storage and retrieval. In addition, the system is also capable of transferring field data to offices by mobile devices (mainly PDA at the moment) and data loggers.
